History
    Jim began skydiving in 1989 and has made more than 1,400 parachute jumps. In addition to the Flying Circus biplanes and more ordinary aircraft, Jim has jumped from helicopters, a Boeing 727 jet, and the bomb bay doors of a WWII B-17 bomber.

    In 1995, Jim jumped onto the North Pole (yes, THE North Pole!). He reports that the weather was "chilly."

    In real life, Jim is a research engineer with more than 20 U.S. patents to his name.
